Tis the season and all that, so I've been thinking back to some of my favorite christmas episodes of the shows I watch or have watched. These are in no particular order, but I've enjoyed all of them. Maybe y'all would like a stroll down memory lane? : )

Anthropologically speaking, giving gifts is a way to assert dominance in a group. Now imagine an entire holiday devoted to self-promotion, especially in this materialistic culture. - Bones

The first thing you need to know about this episode, is that it happens during the first season when we didn't really know the characters and most of them didn't know each other all that well. The second thing you need to know about this episode, is that it's all these guys' fault. But they are pretty.

Howdy all! I'm all caught up on SPN, and I loved, loved, loved 5.10 Abandon All Hope. But first . . .

Personally, I don't automatically defriend back if somebody bumps me off their flist, and I've always wondered if that irritates people. I don't mind when people keep me on their flist after I've defriended -> I try to still check their journals off and on.

And, now onto a topic only mildly related -> There's a lot of people who are breaking up with Supernatural after 5.10 and I totally don't get it.

I need to stop watching commercials. I wake up with the most cracked out fic ideas in the morning.

1. I think it's a weightwatchers commercial where this fuzzy orange monster muppet is the woman's hunger and it's on a rampage. So I really want a Dean vs his Hunger fic where they end up as buddies at the end much to Sam's dismay. You know it probably sheds like crazy.

2. This commercial, a guy knocks on the door to take the woman for a date and he has a "mini-me" at his side that turns out to be his "fun". Now I really want a Jensen/Jared fic where at first they're just friends, but their mini-me-funs start fucking like bunnies until they can't take it anymore, sleep together, and realize they're meant for each other.

facetofcathy. J2

13,000 words, Rated for Mature Adults only, non-AU futurefic.

Jared was a grown-up; he didn't need Jensen to look after him. Not his job. Not his house. Not his damn dogs.

I love how the writing flows, and how it sucked me in despite how melancholy it feels. I loved this Jensen and how he relates to both himself and Jared. The fic has a neat structure because it's just Jensen trying to fit in during the first part and it works out so well. There's so much that isn't said that it really lets the reader plug a bit of themselves into the experience and I love that.

Seriously, go try it and see if you like it. This is going to be one of those fics that I go back to.

I know there was some anxiety about this ep, but I enjoyed it.

I love the music of Terminator. That deep evil Terminator dip to the melody just makes me get all tingly.

I missed the first five minutes, (did anyone catch the title?) but I really enjoyed the season opener. I love Dean Winters. He's hot, awesome, and I really hope he gets some good screen time this season. Actually, I enjoy all the actors, it's a neat trick. : )
