Hello author(s)! Thanks for signing up, and I'm super excited that you're maybe going to write something for one of these smaller fandoms! I'm the easiest, honest. Write something that you like, that's fun for you, and I'm gonna love it. I'm trying to come up with adequate prompts in case you like those, but if you're an off-roader go for that too! Optional details are totally optional.

I think all the prompts involve multiple characters - requested characters and maybe some from the general fandom. I'd love ship fic, but it doesn't have to be the focus if that's not your thing. Any rating is fine. There are some prompts for explicit fics. My only goal is to make writing easier, so if I messed that up, feel free to reach out through the mods or whatever and I will do everything I can to fix it.

In General: For Yuletide, don't feel like you have to set up a bunch of backstory. Drop me in the middle of an interesting situation and I'm happy. Or y'know, write that long fic and we'll both have a good time!

Likes: sarcasm, magical realism, found families, grouchy affection, first times, secrets, soulmate/soulbond, crack treated seriously (ala Brooklyn 99), humor, angst, sharing a bed, accidental bond, pretend dating, pining, lots of dialog, relationship issues (near infidelity, poor communication, getting back together but it's not easy)

- h/c related: I like characters being smart, resilient, and capable even when they are badly hurting, and I would really rather not see their troubles reduce them to a childlike state or near-catatonia. stolen from coaltide

- sex related: laughing together during sex, intimacy, touch-starved, rough sex, the choosing part when a character agrees to be vulnerable, first times, safeword use, roleplay, dub-con, bareback,

Dislikes: 1st/2nd person point of view, pregnancy, kidfic, everyone in the group is tidily paired off in relationships, unrelenting fluff, mundane AUs without at least a hint of magic

( I asked for Harvey Russell, he has a belt buckle, wears his weapon in a ridiculous manner, and chews the scenery like nobody's business and Davis Okoye who did not seem interested in any of the women in this movie, is so competent it hurts, and is the adult of the group. )

Movie - I don't think the first one is streaming, and the second is still in theaters.

I have seen the Mistress of Evil, and would be happy with fic set in either movie. I'll put the sequel stuff further down and marked if you want to remain totally unspoiled.

I picked another minor character, but this time he actually is in the same scenes with my other character request. Gino/Jackson is an in-show relationship. Some spoilers for S2 after the dots.

It's from 2016, so I imagine it's been around, but my coworker just showed me and I dug it. That woman is going to salt and burn their house. Or they're going to figure out a nice co-parenting schedule and everything will be fine. IDK. I poked around A03 to see if there was fic or if it'd blown up yuletide, but I couldn't find anything. I only ever tried to do Snowflake one other year in 2013 and didn't get very far, but I imagine that it must be a good way to start off the new year. You get used to thinking, to articulating your thoughts, posting them for others to see to be entertained by or to engage with, and then the biggest job of all, getting out of your comfort zone and actually trying to talk with others in their space. Scary, I know. But here's a prebuilt audience that want to find other active people to talk to, squee and rant with.

I like that it's so focused on positivity, and folks get optimistic about fandom and this community.

I had a lot of fun writing, because eventually I just decided the show was ridiculous, I might as well be too. I always preferred Zorro as a trickster, but one whose tricks works because he really is that smart, and one who despite that is humble and kind. If you haven't yet, but have any interest, Zorro by Isabel Allende is fantastic, and I enjoy the author's other work as well!

As the holidays roll around, Gillian's odd behavior has Kylie curious about the nature of love and the Owens family curse.

I love this movie, and this fic is a glorious slow breath of love and generational family business.

Yays:
I have bought all the xmas presents I need to! Anything else will just be small bits of icing and not anything I have to stress about.
Football season is over! At least home games, I can now enjoy as a fan for another month.
I really liked this season of The Orville. It was fun and my inner geek enjoyed it's understanding, optimism and exploration, and also the pot jokes.
I am pretty happy with my spn xmas playlist. It's called xmas in hell on spotify if anyone is interested. There's a whole plotline going on there.
The cats have not destroyed the tree.

Boos:
Yuletide fic has not yet been achieved. I really don't want to default.
Why is it still 70 degrees! I just want to wear sweaters and enjoy hot chocolate!
The cats are probably lulling me into a false sense of security ref the tree.

Is anybody anywhere making holiday icons? It's so hard to find old stuff what with the grand ghosting of photobucket. Grrr.

Likes/Dislikes: I can't think of any kinks that automatically turn me off. I'm not a big fan of first or second person point of view. I like dialog. I am open to any rating gen to shippy porn. Write something that makes you happy, and I'll be so glad for both of us!

When she’s a little girl, sitting on Pa’s knee while Ma cleans her guns, Bess hears her first coyote howl. It’s nothing at all like the hunting song of a werewolf, but still Bess shivers and stares out at the darkness with wide eyes. (Every hunter has to start somewhere.)

Okay, so unless you play Pioneer Trail (used to be FrontierVille) on Facebook, this will be like an original fic. I still think you will enjoy it. Bess is a hunter (think spn style) and her family protects wagon trains from werewolves and other big bads. She's a great character, she had some interests in hunting and rodeo riding, but she's lonely and kinda tired of the life. Of course, when she tries to settle down, nothing goes as expected. The girls are awesome, the family is awesome, the poly relationship is awesome. It's cute without being sugary, and pretty without being hard to read. Give it a chance!
