Thursdays aren't great, I work ten hours wed-sat, and I have no brain after the first three hours or so. Summer is boring. Summer is the worst. Did I have a point? IDK, I love magical realism. It's one of my favorite things. Here are three stories dealing with hearts. You got any others I should check out?

So, I passed the 10,000 word mark on my Bilbo/Fili epic last week, and right on schedule is the crushing doubt at whether it's any good or anyone will ever read and like it. Progress on it has slowed to crawl. It's just as bad as it was when I was writing The Sanctuary, that fic barely saw the light of day.

I'd also really like to write something for Lupercalia, because it is right up my alley.

Somehow, over hiatus, I completely forgot that Scott and Scott/Allison were the main storyline. Stiles/Derek fic has ruined me. I don't know how excited I am for Season 3, except for when I figured out that Deucalion (terrible, terrible name, I don't care about the history) was played by Gideon Emery who voiced Fenris in Dragon Age II. I would totally make out with his voice, oh yeah. It's love even though I seldom romanced Fenris in game.

I wrote a thing for fan_flashworks last challenge technology -> Annoyed: I'm too Old For This Shit for Mass Effect because I have been having epic Legion feelings. I've meant to participate, but I had trouble getting off my butt and doing it. Check out the guidelines page here for an awesome kick-in-the-pants pep talk. I'm determined to do three in a row so I can get a name tag.

This, I don't know, but here it is. : ) There might be more later on if I can figure out how to do it without turning Derek into a giant walking weremarshmallow. I wished we lived in a better world were good things happened to good people, and everything could be fixed by a hug or a helping hand.

The way I see it, one problem with the fannish hive mind is that I inevitably get into the new trope (in this case the Alpha/Beta/Omega verseiness) and I want to go back and read it in fics from my earlier fandoms. I want SG-1 Omega!Cam, BTVS Omega!Xander, and TFTF Omega!Brian. Yeah, it makes no sense. Really, I'm just desperate for the next part of Dilaudid.


Drop Dead Diva starts its next season tomorrow! I don't even know how I got hooked on that show, except that I blame my mom hard.


It's so hard to write the dirty kind of porn on my roomie's laptop. I'm so paranoid I'll save it somewhere I don't mean to. She would probably not approve of male on male shenanigans on her desktop.

Right, so this hasn't been my best month ever. I haven't been able to talk to anyone about just how depressed I've really been. I know Christmas brings the blues to a lot of people, but I think all the music (at least the nonlame stuff) and blinky lights are helping a little bit. I can't wait for the first snow, even if it does happen this Saturday at the football game. I've been really bad at thanking and pointing out the awesome stuff people made for me. So this is kind of a catch all post before everything goes Christmas crazy.

Day 7- a brutal moment

I can't believe it took me until day 7 to get around to showing off shirtless!Derek. My priorities have obviously been skewed. However, this is not the sweaty, sexy clip that you're looking for. I mean, there are plenty of those for several of the characters, but this moment really makes me uncomfortable. Kate is a hunter, Derek is her prey, and I can understand that, even though as the audience we're supposed to side with Derek.

I wanted to like her as a fun kick-ass antagonist, but as a character, she's got issues that make her a cancer even to her own family. It's the creepy sexual overtone and complete joy she shows torturing him that makes it hard to watch. There's more to the scene, but even cutting to this part bothers me.
