Yet the billion dollar industry knows exactly how to get us addicted. The essay was published in 2018, and I wonder if anything's changed - not like only covid- but with the increased scrutiny on mental health.

For best pic, I've seen: Top Gun: Mav, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and The Banshees of Inisherin. I wanted to see Triangle of Sadness and The Fabelmans, but neither came to my theater. I'm hoping for Everything.

Speaking of movies, I thought this page about the most filmed locations in every state was fun to look at. Nice infographics.

Over at disneyplusshows they made this amusing graphic and have an open post to prompt for any media (fic, art, playlists, etc) for any character or pairing from the show. Go drop some bunnies and you never know what'll happen!

I'm watching Ricki and the Flash which was on my list from my Sebastian Stan days. Now I've got Bennie and the Jets stuck in my head, and listen, I am not an Elton John fan. Ug*.

dick_or_treat is weird. So, write smut titled after Pokémon move/attack during the month of April, add it to their collection, receive gym badges. I watched the very first series because my little brother was in that age group** and Detective Pikachu is an anticipated movie because I need Ryan Reynold's*** voice in my life. However, according to the linked list, we could have: Double Iron Bash (sounds painful for Tony), Let's Snuggle Forever (Dean's newest version of hell), or Venom Drench (is there anything kink left to explore in the Venom fandom?)

springfest prompt from the 20th to the 27th then write/post in April. I don't like having to claim something, cuz what if I suck and someone else also wanted to write it? And remembering appointments really isn't my jam right now****.

I enjoyed Captain Marvel so much more than I thought I would! It is fantastic and if Endgame ruins her the way Civil War ruined Cap for me I will mourn indefinitely*****.

Also, the first four issues of Winter Soldier 2018 by Kyle Higgins (Author), Rod Reis (Illustrator) are $1.99 each, and I loved them so much. The art is fantastic, the kitty is so white and fluffy, and Bucky is a sweetheart. sparklesquid has an excellent rec here with selected panels, though sadly no Tony.


*not looking forward to watching all the movies with the Rocketman trailer on them.
**still don't know why Meowth can talk, but clearly that Team Rocket was better than ^.

1. My attempts to write this week have been incredibly sidetracked due to my roommate getting a new puppy. This is Shipley (yes, he's named after Jordan Shipley the football player) and he is a seven week old German Shepherd purebred.




I imagine that the stress in my life is about to increase a thousand-million times. It's awkward being home with Ship more than she is while trying not to over bond with a puppy who isn't mine. Plus, she's all over the place about training him.

3. Also, as I continue working on my writing and hunting that elusive ability to create interesting and entertaining commercial fiction, I'm also keeping a separate journal that's less about porn and more about me/writing/entertainment. It's here -> renae_love.

I've got a review of the book The Demon's Lexicon by Sarah Rees Brennan (sarahtales) over here. It's an excellent book that's about brothers and demons. It's twisty and I enjoyed it a lot.

4. I have a twitter. I don't abuse it, but I post random things that don't seem to be blog-worthy.

It's kinda bare and empty, mostly because I've forgotten how to make friends that aren't fandom dependent. *is a loser*

My predicted death this past weekend turned out to be around two inches of snow accumulation on the grass. I'm a little disappointed though I feel real bad for the people who actually did get slammed by this storm. There are/were a lot without power.

anniehow wrote Rule #7, Always Be Specific When You Lie which is an SPN/NCIS crossover with Dean and Castiel. I don't know NCIS so they were just a bunch of suits to me but the Dean and Castiel exchanges are awesome. I was entertained. : )

Smells like a holiday!

So, who else is excited for yuletide?!? I am! It's such a really neat experience with all the craziness that goes on and all the awesome fic that goes up all at once. I have no idea what I'm going to request. I think I'll request Zorro and Willow for sure, but I'll have to think about my last two slots.

sg1_jubilee is thinking about another holiday exchange this year. I'm not in it anymore, but if you're interested head over fill out the poll and poke people about it. I haven't seen anyone pimp it and I know the SG-1 fandom can do better than nine participants.

I was nearly trampled by a murder (yes, I said murder and I stand by it) of tots on trikes. I know there's nothing inherently frightening about tricycles, but I flash back to that creepy little dummy from Saw and I'm gone. There were about six of the little monsters salivating at the chance to rend me limb from limb. Good thing there was a chainlink fence holding them back.
