Episode: Ghostfacers
Spontaneous Orgasms: Lost count.
1. When the sound of the Impala's engine drifting up the road.
2. When Dean yelled "Police!" in that dark growly voice of his.
3-?. Every time that Dean looked directly into the camera. It's like making eye contact with a friggin' porn star.
?-?. Every time Dean and Sam cursed, especially Dean's "Fuck me!" That's freakin' hot.
At first I thought that the opening sequence drug on, but as the show wore on, I guess that it was a good idea to get us to bond with the Ghostfacers early. Intern (whose name I never got regardless of how often it was yelled) was adorable.
Dean vs. the GF was hilarious. It was obvious how annoyed Sam and Dean were, but they don't decide to force the issue when they so could. Dean tries to bribe them with ice cream, there's something a little creepy in there somewhere. Then Intern goes missing, and it's like Dean is trying to herd cats. BUT, they explain the death echoes really well, Sam's almost patient, and neither of them do that guy thing where they get annoyed for having to explain.
However, Sam does get a little irked at Dean for wasting time when he only has two months left. It's tough that they're still taking jobs, but I doubt at this point Sam can refuse Dean anything. I'll bet he gets double-bacon cheese burgers for all three meals by now. Also, apparently Dean is still trying to get to the Grand Canyon. I hate to break it to him, but it's not that spectacular.
I can't believe they killed Intern! I mean I figured that they'd off a couple of them, but not Intern. Poor kid. Also, Dean will never let Sam forget about wearing the party hat. His face is just priceless.
"I'm not going to talk about my bullshit problems to some bullshit reality show. I'm gonna do my fucking job!" I almost wished that they'd had more time for the GF to interview Sam and Dean. I think that on his own Dean would have opened up a little to the anonymity of talking to a camera. Since he's such a closed off (emotionally stunted) fella, there's got to be stuff backed up, especially after the last three episodes. It would have been neat for us to see, and for Dean to maybe say some stuff out loud.
Dean flipping the bird should not be so hot.
All right. The Ed/Intern storyline was actually okay. I was afraid for a little bit, but I'm pretty sure that this is the most respectful the show has ever been toward homosexuality. Yeah, it got played for laughs, but they weren't mean about it. There was no condemnation I guess. Or that's what I thought and saw.
Intern saving the day was the most freaking awesome thing ever. "How gay love can pierce through the veil and save the day!" Nice twist. Intern's last interview was so sad/adorable/neat.
Sam and Dean's reaction to the tape was priceless. Dean's "Half-awesome." and Sam's tangent into commercial consumerism. I loved it. Dean knows the world isn't ready, either you get "a straight-jacket or a punch in the face." Really, that's all the world has ever given Dean, poor boy.
GF -> "Dicks." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Aw, Sammy'n'Dean - 2 vs. HH/GF - 0
I'm excited for the next ep. I think it's going to leave a bunch of us broken.

Date: 2008-04-25 04:25 pm (UTC)2) I like your expression of Dean trying to herd cats. It really -was- like that. Poor guy, he was already annoyed and no one was listening to him and he was just trying to save their sorry butts!
3) I'll have to rewatch, but I was under the impression that Dean was comparing the Morton house to the Grand Canyon. But it was 1am when I watched it, so who knows XD
4) I agree, more Dean/Sam GF-camera time would have been really cool. It's interesting to see them from an angle where the audience isn't so... third person limited? lol
5) Yes, Corbett (aka Intern) totally saved the day. And I love that quote! Awwww the last interview really was sad, but at least he kinda got what he wanted, you know?
6) I hope you're wrong on the next ep, but I think you're right. But for even a bit of John, I'm willing to suffer through it.

Date: 2008-04-26 07:25 pm (UTC)Naw, that's how I saw it too! : ) I mean the Grand Canyon is like the "ideal" vacation for many families in the US. Or, it was, back in the day when gas wasn't sky high and families used to do stuff together. It makes sense that the Morton house would be the equivalant to the Winchester clan. I just like Dean and the Grand Canyon fics...

True story, sadly, he might be the lucky one...
I can not wait until next week, and the boys are back to business!

I agree; I had a little loop going in my head during that scene: "Please don't let me down, please don't let me down." Too many shows think boi!love is the funniest thing EVAR, and I agree, while played for laughs, it was still mostly sweet. No gaggy faces, not even a lot of reluctance, really, to do The Gay Thing to help poor dead Corbett move on. I was pleased.

Date: 2008-04-26 07:29 pm (UTC)I was so worried that gay bashing at the end was going to ruin the whole episode for me. Sure, they got a little tongue in cheek, but it was okay. Though, I'm kinda curious (but also cringing) to hear Kripke or the boys' take on the storyline.
