I need to stop watching commercials. I wake up with the most cracked out fic ideas in the morning.

1. I think it's a weightwatchers commercial where this fuzzy orange monster muppet is the woman's hunger and it's on a rampage. So I really want a Dean vs his Hunger fic where they end up as buddies at the end much to Sam's dismay. You know it probably sheds like crazy.

2. This commercial, a guy knocks on the door to take the woman for a date and he has a "mini-me" at his side that turns out to be his "fun". Now I really want a Jensen/Jared fic where at first they're just friends, but their mini-me-funs start fucking like bunnies until they can't take it anymore, sleep together, and realize they're meant for each other.

Castiel continues to deliver awesome lines. : )

I could have just melted on the spot when Dean threw his back up over the thought of giving away his amulet. That growly "No!" . . . seriously -> spontaneous orgasm. It feels kinda suspect story-wise, but I don't even care because Dean loves his Sammy necklace.

I still like Ellen, but I did find one line odd. She says something like "My daughter may be an idiot, but she's not stupid." I don't know, she obviously loves and cares for Jo's well being, but still . . . I guess she and John have a lot more in common than she'd like to think.

When they grabbed War at the end and Sam held his hand down on the roof of the car, my first thought was, "Noooooooooooooooooo! Not the paint job!" How sad is that, huh? : )

I hope that there are a lot of deleted scenes from this ep on the DVD. I did feel like we got cheated out of some uncomfortable Jo/Dean and Jo/Sam moments. Though, I know if I were her, I'd try to steer clear of them too. No one likes having their nose rubbed in their faliures. But there could have been some great scenes with War, Ellen, and Rufus that I'd like to see.

Dean: Hello you hunk of man! I really liked Dean in this episode; he's still Dean, but it feels like he's grown up a lot. I know there were several people upset about how Dean didn't go right after Sam, but really, he didn't have a choice. I'm sure it ate him up on the inside, but if he'd gone out he probably would have gotten nabbed too and then everyone would have died including Sam. This Dean has already lost everything, he doesn't believe that he has Sam even when his little brother is right beside him. Letting Sam go at the end is his only choice. It hurt, and he would have let Sam have the Impala, but Dean never begged Sam to stay and he wasn't about to start now.

Sam: Oy, I started having flashbacks of my own bratty little brother. Sam wants everything to be fixed right now, and it's just not going to happen. I think he takes Dean for granted, but he doesn't mean too. He's tired of being the little brother and wants to call the shots. I understand. I love my independence myself and I don't fit in well with my family when they have to be in charge of everything. He's completely out of control, and he should not be hunting because at the rate he's going, he'll get Dean killed first. However, I think one of Sam's personal problems is that he runs away from himself too quickly.

Sam/Dean: That said. I don't want my boys apart! Bah! I know they've got very little choice, but you should never leave an addict alone. Very few people have the will power to stop themselves when they're as bad off as Sam is. Dean could have taken him back so he and Bobby could have babbysitted each other. I am looking forward to the reunion though, and I know that they've both got interesting paths to follow by themselves.

I have this theory that a lot of the dissatisfaction with this season so far is because the SPN fandom has finally really got some steam built up. We've had four years to produce our specific cliches, and fannish expected patterns of behaviors for both characters and fangirls. Supernatural has managed to make fandom a part of canon which already makes us nervous. Then we're looking for the Sam and Dean that we've become so close to by reading about daily, and that Dean on the TV screen is not the same Dean from our computer screen. I think there might be a little dissonance there keeping people from enjoying the episodes. I don't know, just something I was thinking about while I read episode reactions.

So, anybody got anything? Also, anyone have any icon requests from this episode?
