I went to church today. I think I had repressed how much it offends me to sit there for an hour and listen to how I should be subservient to any male that comes along thinking that he knows what's best for me. That's probably why I haven't been for over a year.

I have stuff I want to post, but now with all the secrecy of my [livejournal.com profile] mcshep_romance prompt I can't because I don't know which of the various plots I'll end up writing. It's kind of frustrating. And yet, I'm still very excited about the whole idea, I got a great prompt.

If anyone else is willing to let me inflict my icon making skills on their interest, my last post is still open.

I'm on my way home tonight, so I'm going back to not having any internet access at home. I have definitely decided to move to Arkansas. Now I just have to figure out how to do it. I'm excited for the chance to have real people to talk to again, even if they are family...

See, trees make me claustrophobic. I like windswept plains and being able to see from horizon to horizon. Of course, with the crazy weather, it's like a bog now, but normally I can appreciate the dry heat.

Arkansas is pretty though, when driving there isn't about to give me a stroke, I even like the curvy roads. To drive fast on my way to granny's house, I basically have to declare war on the people who hit their brakes everytime the road moves. It's hard to go from driving eighty on straight highways to barely fifty following some rust-bucket hugging the center line.

Maybe I take my driving too seriously? : )
I was very sad when FOX canceled Drive.

Oh man, I am the QUEEN of driving for recreation and zen on crazy-ass Appalachian roads and being pissed as hell when Joe Middleage treats the curves like they're speedbumps.

The best thing in the world is to find a state highway sort of out there around sunset (which is fortunately, like, 7pm so not rush hour), blast some music, and enjoy the atmosphere as you go as fast as possible.

I wish we had a bog. For a state that usually gets 50ish" of rain, it sure feels like a desert.
