Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. Happy Zombie day to those who celebrate that. : ) I am marking the day by watching the extended edition of LoTR, because several people die and then come back in that movie.

I'm very sad that I missed The Ten Commandments last night. If you've never watched it, you're missing a truly wonderful movie. If you can't get behind the religion of it, just image that it's a fantasy epic with a dearth of elves. I remember watching with wide eyes as a child. I could never decide if I wanted to be Nefretiri, Moses, Ramses, or Joshua, because they were all hot and amazing. Seriously, this movie is pretty.

Just listen to the music. It's got the heroic peaks and introspective valleys. It's better than John Williams and the only score that I can admit to liking more is Howard Shore's LoTR. Yes, some of the special effects might make you cringe, but the angel of death scene is still uber creepy.

I admit, the first half is my favorite before Moses is cast out of Egypt and finds the burning bush. Afterwards, I have to be careful that I don't accidentally roll my eyes out of my head. Once he gets back to Egypt and the Ramses and Nefretiri show is back on stage the awesomeness continues.
