Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. Happy Zombie day to those who celebrate that. : ) I am marking the day by watching the extended edition of LoTR, because several people die and then come back in that movie.
I'm very sad that I missed The Ten Commandments last night. If you've never watched it, you're missing a truly wonderful movie. If you can't get behind the religion of it, just image that it's a fantasy epic with a dearth of elves. I remember watching with wide eyes as a child. I could never decide if I wanted to be Nefretiri, Moses, Ramses, or Joshua, because they were all hot and amazing. Seriously, this movie is pretty.
Just listen to the music. It's got the heroic peaks and introspective valleys. It's better than John Williams and the only score that I can admit to liking more is Howard Shore's LoTR. Yes, some of the special effects might make you cringe, but the angel of death scene is still uber creepy.
I admit, the first half is my favorite before Moses is cast out of Egypt and finds the burning bush. Afterwards, I have to be careful that I don't accidentally roll my eyes out of my head. Once he gets back to Egypt and the Ramses and Nefretiri show is back on stage the awesomeness continues.
If you happen to know of any fanworks, feel free to rec them at me. If I decide to attempt Yuletide again this year, I might ask for it. : )

Whatever adjective is past gorgeous, that's what this woman is. Nefretiri was cunning, ambitious, intelligent, and clever. She loved Moses, and she was going to do whatever it took to get him. She stood up to Pharaoh, though eventually she had to follow a path not of her choosing.

So, there's a bit of ust here. That, or I have the super edition of slash goggles. : ) If they could have stopped competing to work together, they could have conquered the world.

She must marry the next pharaoh, and she definitely makes her preference clear. Once again, I idly wish for a threesome. Such pretty people should not be forced to choose. The banter amongst them is clever and solid.

Also, Joshua the stone cutter is quite a dish, but I couldn't find any good pics of him. I think at one point, I really wanted to be his BFF. : )
