Thank you so much for writing for me! Take anything from this letter that's helpful and don't feel constrained by anything that's not. I'm real easy. And I don't mind being dropped in the middle of an interesting premise without a lot of lead up. I'd love a winter and/or winter holiday premise with any of these fandoms, but don't feel like you have to. Please, have fun!
Treats are very welcome!
Likes: - sarcasm, magical realism, found families, grouchy affection, first times, secrets, soulmate/soulbond, crack treated seriously (like Brooklyn 99), humor, angst, (and humor/angst), sharing a bed, enforced intimacy (truth serum/spell or handcuffs/have to stay close to avoid pain and etc), pretend dating, pining, lots of dialog, relationship issues (near infidelity, actual infidelity, poor communication, getting back together but it's not easy), belligerent sexual tension, unexpected tenderness, hints of a larger world surrounding the couple (current politics/pandemic or anything else is okay), when a character gets in their own way on a path to happiness, men with body hair (armpit hair!), daemons
- sex related: laughing together during sex, intimacy, touch-starved, rough sex, a/b/o (see here for more about that), the choosing part when a character agrees to be vulnerable, first times, safeword use (where the character gets comforted and they continue or they stop, or maybe the other character is a little upset at the stop, I'm interested in all of it), roleplay, dub-con (a lot of very dubby-consent), bareback, (woke up in a) porn AU, public use (gang-bang or orgy), public sex
- h/c related: I like characters being smart, resilient, and capable even when they are badly hurting, and I would really rather not see their troubles reduce them to a childlike state, sobbing, or near-catatonia. stolen from
coaltide - but with that in mind, I do really enjoy when the bad hits keep coming and a character is able to rely on someone else to help them or help comes from somewhere they never would have expected.
Dislikes:
1st/2nd person point of view,
realistic or detailed pregnancy (I like when fic is focused on the emotion and the future building or somebody just happens to be pregnant while the fic is about something completely different),
everyone in the group is tidily paired off in relationships,
unrelenting fluff,
coffee shop/academic/high school/college/tattoo/flowers AUs without some sort of magical realism to change things up.
BROS
Aaron Shepard
In theaters and available to buy streaming through Vudu at least. Here is a trailer - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQIeBB9XMe8
I really enjoyed this movie and how these guys are 40ish and taking baby steps toward each other. I like both Aaron and Bobby, but I'd love a deeper dive into Aaron's thought process during the movie. He eventually lets himself be vulnerable with Bobby and I loved it, and he wanted to introduce Bobby to his family even though he had to know it would be a disaster. He has to grow so much, and it's good for him, but I can't imagine how difficult it was.
The movie did so good showing the entire arc of their romance, but I'd be interested in any missing scenes. Maybe Aaron has to deal with Bobby actually trying to write his Rom-Com, or airing too much of their personal life on his podcast. I'd love to see a take with some magical realism or a trope thrown in - what would change if they were werewolves, or if Bobby was a superhero, or if they had daemons?
I also nominated Cherry because I love that actress. I'd love any addition of her and her lesbians.
Red Wing
Francis Riley (Red Wing)
This movie isn't available streaming anywhere, and only available to buy on like, (used) DVDs. Here is a trailer - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kzs_zOyR7Xc
Yes, I fell in love with Glen Powell after Top Gun this summer. I have no shame, but this is my new comfort movie.
Francis is a small, previously abused foster child who eventually ends up taken in by Maddie who is the sweetest person on earth. Her husband however is cheating and jealous even though Maddie would never with a now 18 year old Francis. Francis ends up with Bill Paxton and his age appropriate daughter, but the second he hears Maddie was in a bad traffic accident that killed her husband he goes running to make sure she's okay.
Francis is a quiet, sweet man who wants to take care of people and apparently any animals he comes across. He doesn't get to say a lot in the movie, so I'd love to see the inside track of just about any age range. I'm open to gen, Francis/Maddie, or if you want to - Francis/OMC.
The movie doesn't really do anything to make you believe in the age gap, and I'd love to see that explored a little more. Or maybe something about his scars and how he watches, waiting for the next blow to come. Maybe he meets a nice boy in Bill Paxton's bunk house, and he's nervous to introduce him to Maddie, but she opens her arms and they form a nice little family.
Scream Queens
Chad Radwell
Listen, I know. This is Glen Powell's fault. Available streaming on Hulu. Here are some of Chad's best moments - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDZn94Ee_Kw.
I'd love to see Chad annoy somebody but still be right about whatever it is he's blabbering about. The way he speaks - pontificates maybe- is my favorite part about this character - he's just so fun, and because he's an asshole he gets away with saying just about anything. I haven't seen Season 2 yet, but I probably will have by reveals time - so feel free to go there if you want to!
I honestly didn't follow the plot too well, I just really enjoyed the sheer insanity of their over the top greek life getting murdered in horrific ways. I'd be interested in an AU entirely set during the winter holidays so the paranoia is now aimed at every Santa Claus while Chad can do a deep dive on Krampus or something. Or even a fusion with the Krampus movie from 2015 when Chad gets butthurt about something and decides he doesn't believe in Santa Claus anymore. Put Chad out in the real world and let him sink or swim. He's got some kinks, go crazy with them with any female or male partner!
Progressive Commercials
Flo the Progressive Insurance Girl and Jon Hamm (Progressive Insurance "Flo" Commercials)
I don't even know any more, but I need some sort of closure for these two. Here's a link to all the commercials - https://www.progressive.com/commercials-campaigns/jon-hamm/
On one hand - meet-cute, the odd couple, he's totally making a fool for himself over her, and Flo deserves something nice for herself outside of helping other people.
On the other hand - he's not taking no for an answer, manipulating situations to see her, and is kinda mean to her friends
I'd be interested in either take, or a mix of both!
I love how dumb Jon gets because he's nervous and wants Flo to like him so much. I'd love to see them out on a date where everything goes wrong, but maybe he gets to help Flo save people money by bundling their insurance. Maybe he decides he likes it and gives up his acting career for insurance - is he successful?
I'd also like to see a take where maybe Jon is a famous actor and has kind of isolated himself, so he's not used to having people care about him, especially not an entire group of insurance professionals. So maybe he learns to trust them, and Flo sees a new side.
I don't really care if they end up together or not, I just like how quirky Flo is and she should have herself a good time.
