Yes, I'm going to make the attempt! October is easy enough, lots going on, tv to talk about, movies I want to watch etc. . . Wish me luck?

TODAY: Stumptown

It is fantastic. The soundtrack for the first episode is so good. I'd heard good things, but I didn't click on it until I saw Michael Ealy in the promo. So, while I figure it'll only last half a season or so, because that man is cursed to be in fun, quirky things that get cancelled - I gave it a shot. It was fantastic!

Based on the series of graphic novels by the same name, "Stumptown" follows Dex Parios, a strong, assertive and sharp-witted Army veteran who has a complicated love life, gambling debt and a brother to take care of in Portland, Ore. Her military intelligence skills make her a great private investigator, but her brash, unapologetic style puts her in a league of her own, landing her in the firing line of hardcore criminals while not quite in alliance with the rules and objectives of the local police.

Anyway, the first episode is up on HULU and ABC. Episodes air on Wednesdays.

I meant to watch - because I love to see my town in movies/on TV, but missed the first ep. obviously, I need to remedy this! most of the reactions I've read seem positive, and it does sound like something I'll enjoy

Michael Ealy! I loved Almost Human and I squeed when I saw him Fast & Furious (we just started watching the franchise this summer, six movies down so far). Fingers crossed this new show does well :)

Almost Human could have been soooooooooooo good. I'm still mad! Thanks for the link! I wonder what's on the other side of the wall for the rest of my life now.
