Okay, so whoever writes Obama's speeches, I want to have their babies. I'm actually kind of choked up, thinking about the America that he's describing. For once I feel like I'm not a phony for having a degree in political science. I sincerely, completely hope that he's for real.

Change will not be easy.

Oh god yes. I started crying in a completely embarrassing way the other day listening to one of his speeches. He's just...

Magical.

Oh, it's not embarrassing at all to want something better! But I am completely smitten. I may be disowned (not really, not with the "choice" the Republicans are giving us) but I think I may love Obama.

Is it bad that I think it sucks that other people write the candidates speeches? Because then you are essentially just reading words someone else wants you to say. That's kind of like lying. Just a bit. Like, "this is what I believe," even though it really isn't.

I'm not really sure how much imput Obama has time to do with his speeches, but I have to believe that it's some. Reagan used to go over his line by line and make it his own. They just don't have the time to do it all themselves.

Also, the best speech writer in the world couldn't save W Bush from himself.

That's because Bush always seems to try and put his own spin on things, and it just turns out bad every time.

Ooh, yes. I watched his speech on CNN last night. I want to vote for him *so* much. Unfortunately, I'm not American. XD

I think I may need an Obama icon anyway, though...

He's so incredibly charismatic. I really hope that he manages to at least smudge party lines, because I am so incredibly sick of the state of politics in America today.

I doubt that there can be too much Obama love around! : )

He is pretty awesome, is he not?

As for writing his own speeches -- well, he's written his own books. This is a man who has written books.

Gah. You can never tell, really, how someone would turn out as President, because I'm not sure ANYTHING can be adequate preparation for it. But, well, he would definitely be a change, to put it mildly, from what we've been dealing with for the past eight years (and more!)

I forgot about his book! I'm going to havta check that out now. : )

Put it very mildly, he'd be a bit of fresh air into Washington. You really can never tell hm? I remember being swept up in the Bush frenzy eight years ago - it was fun at the time. I doubt though, that anyone would have come out of the last eight years without mud on their faces.
