Okay, so whoever writes Obama's speeches, I want to have their babies. I'm actually kind of choked up, thinking about the America that he's describing. For once I feel like I'm not a phony for having a degree in political science. I sincerely, completely hope that he's for real.
Change will not be easy.

Date: 2008-01-28 03:44 am (UTC)As for writing his own speeches -- well, he's written his own books. This is a man who has written books.
Gah. You can never tell, really, how someone would turn out as President, because I'm not sure ANYTHING can be adequate preparation for it. But, well, he would definitely be a change, to put it mildly, from what we've been dealing with for the past eight years (and more!)

Date: 2008-01-28 03:37 pm (UTC)Put it very mildly, he'd be a bit of fresh air into Washington. You really can never tell hm? I remember being swept up in the Bush frenzy eight years ago - it was fun at the time. I doubt though, that anyone would have come out of the last eight years without mud on their faces.
