I did like this series, but I was rather disappointed by the third movie. For movies they looked awesome, grungy but still very pretty. All those deathtraps, and the ones that Jigsaw did were really . . . artistic. If I can say that without being a sociopath. Honestly, I had to cover up my eyes and shriek like a little girl an awful lot. I wish I would have gone to see them in the theater.

Okay, so I love the Hewlett. This movie was entertaining, full of quirky characters, and beautiful back drops. I was interested through the entire movie, the ending of which was delightfully quirky. All right, it also had David Hewlett's ass. Yes, the heart-shaped ass. That alone was worth watching.

I LOVED this movie! I didn't realized that it was filmed in spanish and subtitles with English, but that didn't detract at all. It was so perfectly creepy and beautiful. It's such a wonderful fairy tale, with twists and a great "bad guy". I totally didn't get the reference to the title until the end. i'm kinda dense sometimes. Did I mention, love? You should all go see this movie!

I got this because I can't resist Disney sequels. If they're bad, then they're fun to make fun of, and if they're good, then hey - piece of my childhood. Patrick Stewart is such a prince-of-the-forest. I laughed out loud in several places, and made my roomie watch it too. It was very cute and romantic.

Date: 2007-02-11 02:16 am (UTC)oh! and I can also recommend The Devil's Backbone, which is done by del Toro (director of Pan's) a few years back. It takes place in the beginning of the Spanish Civil War. It's on DVD, so easy to access.
