All right. So, I obviously suck quite a bit and have decided that a full write up of last weekend’s con is simply not going to happen. Instead, I’ll make a list.

1.) Being able to talk out loud with other fangirls is a gift that should never be taken for granted. Ever. Thanks so much to everyone I talked to and laughed with, you guys made my trip!

2.) Michael Shanks is a lovely guy. A lovely guy who has a lifetime movie coming out on Dec 4. He’s pretty, nice, and seemed genuine though he definitely had the whole convention “experience” down.

3.) David and Kate should have their own comedy show. Jane too. It would be hysterical. Mars could guest star.

3a.) David Hewlett is gorgeous, hilarious, has a hot voice, and couldn’t be more adorable if he tried. Of course, all his cast mates noted his crankiness, which only endears him to me more. (Did I say that right? Oh well, you get the picture. I love me some DH.)

3b.) A Dog’s Breakfast was pure genius. Patrick (DH) was a wonderful character who I now want to slash with Lionel (JF) from Family Album. Seriously, this movie even made me like Paul Mc. I never thought that would happen. As soon as this DVD comes out, I’m buying a caseload.

4.) Apparently, the lemon in Pegasus Project was all thanks to Ben B. That’s something new to look at in regard to the ep! : )

5.) I am very unimpressed with Torri and Jason. They seemed nice enough, just not that memorable. I only watch Atlantis for McKay and Sheppard, I admit it. Even then, I still end up irritated over how random they all are.

6.) I came home with way too much stuff, and now I don’t know what I’m going to do with the posters, pictures, banner, and calendar. None.

7.) Oklahomans do not belong in California. Yes, there was that one time, Grapes of Something or Another - whatever. I could never live there. Claustrophobia aside, I think my lungs are irreversibly damaged. It was nice to see the tumbleweeds again as soon as we hit the Texas border.

Aww. The air isn't THAT bad! *coughhack*

By the way. Any chance we could get a look at the tracklists for your cross-country fanmixes? I'm intrigued! :)

Sure! Here's a sample of McKay songs:

"Life is A Lemon and I Want My Money Back" by Meatloaf - This got points for the word "Lemon" but seemed to capture Rodney's frustration.
"Basketcase" by Greenday - I admit, this is my favorite Greenday song, but it's got a bit of Rodney-spirit in there too!
"Mister Big Time" by Jon Bon Jovi - Mr. Nobel Prize would also work. ; )
"Superman" by Lazlo Bane - Not just because of the 'Superman' comment, but also because he can't do it himself.
"The Logical Song" by Supertramp - Another favorite, I somehow always think of Rodney when it come on. Well, him and Jack Sparrow. *shrugs*

Sheppard got:

"Bad Company" by Bad Company - He thinks he's such a bad boy. And he might have been, I don't think we'll ever know for sure.
"Desperado" by Clint Black - There were a lot of cowboy songs on his playlist. One day I'll have to write the fic. That day is not today, however.
"Killer Klowns From Outer Space" by Ihavenoidea - This is just silly, but it was one of my favs during Halloween, and it reminded me of the Hive scene where he talks about the clowns that "just keep coming".
"Old Hippie" by Bellamy Brothers - John's just old school. And I love this song.
"Sex as a Weapon" and "Heartbreaker" by Pat Benatar - I couldn't resist.
"The Hard Way Every Time" by Jim Croce
"I Fought the Law" by Greenday
"I Still haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2
"Pretend" by Nat King Cole
etc

Cameron got:

"Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy" "Princes Of The Universe" and "Under Pressure" by Queen - Cam got a lot of the 80s in his mix, both fun stuff that he'd listen too, and the stuff that he'd pretend to be, such as -
"Holding Out For A Hero" by Bonnie Tyler - He sings this in the shower.
"Be True To Your School" by The Beach Boys - He's the all American boy next door.
"Nice Guys Finish Last" by Greenday
"Main Theme from Superman" by John Williams
"Flying" by Blue Rodeo
"Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival

Daniel got:
"(Don't Rear) The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult - Seriously, how could I not put that?
"Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Johnny Cash - He tries to do everything for everyone, and means it.
"He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" by Neil Diamond - See above.
"Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce - A Shau're song.
"What a Wonderful World" by Joey Ramone - This cover of the song is very upbeat and very Daniel while still keeping the idealism of the song.
"Who Wants To Live Forever" by Queen - Again, easy.
"Yesterday" by The Beatles

Vala got:

"American Woman" by The Guess Who - Her ultimate theme song.
"Ballad of a Teenage Queen" by Johnny Cash - I liked it.
"Homecoming Queen" by Hinder - I think she'd love the way they sound, and the song just fits.
"You give Love a Bad Name" by Bon Jovi - Not that Daniel would know anything about this. No.
"Gold Dust Woman" by Fleetwood Mac - Honestly, it was easy to make her playlist.
"I'm The Only One" by Melissa Etheridge
"Lady Madonna" by The Beatles
"Be Gentle With Me" by The Boy Least Likely To

Let me know if you want any uploads for any of these. Again, my abject apologies for leaving "Stress" off McKay's soundtrack. This has been remedied.

: )

I am officially impressed. These are great!

These are also making me want to make some vids and NO. NO. I have work to do! No fandom until after finals!

But after that... :)
