My a/c died at the house a couple of weeks ago. I am now the proud owner of a new 10k debt (to add to the new 10k car debt) and a unit that works adequately if not as well as the super old now dead unit. I am no longer looking for a new job because I can't afford the pay cut or to lose overtime and holiday pay. I am . . . fine with this.
please check out this weatherdude's mind being blown that his map is a touchscreen. Delightful smiles!
I wasn't a fan of Nope or the new Thor.
I saw Major Dad was on Netflix, and I really enjoyed it as a kid, so I thought I'd give it a chance for nostalgia, and people, it is still so good! This is the official tag: "A hard-nosed, conservative Marine impulsively proposes to the liberal reporter doing a story on him and agrees to help her raise her three daughters." But it doesn't quite get the point across. The Major is thoughtful, changes his mind based on new information, and is the best most trying dad to his three new daughters and his haphazard Lt. Holowachuk who is delightful. They talk about how helpful therapy and/or talking to someone is several times. I love this show.

Date: 2022-08-06 07:04 pm (UTC)Funny, I never watched the show though I remember its existence. I've never been much for family sitcoms so it never occurred to me to try it, but it's always a nice surprise to discover that old shows hold up well.

Date: 2022-08-10 12:30 am (UTC)I mean, I pass on most of the kid kid shows I used to watch. I think the only thing that might tempt me from Nikelodeon (?) was Hey Dude WHICH I JUST FOUND OUT IS ON PARAMOUNT PLUS OMGWTFBBQ!!! I know what I'm doing at work this weekend.
