cat-astrophe
May. 11th, 2021 01:44 pmI assume everyone has seen the Venom 2 trailer? What a ride. I am here for the romcom in the first 35 seconds. I love it.
There's also a new trailer for The Green Knight it looks so pretty and different from any other movie. I want it to be something I can enjoy so much!
I accidentally shut 13 outside last week. She is the near feral who is terrified of people she sees through the window and hisses at my other animals she's known her whole life and/or for years now. So I get home from work, eventually realize she is the stupid cat out meowing in the bushes. She refuses to come to me, so I'm prepared to leave her until the morning. At three a.m. I hear a cat fight out my window, go try to get her again, and she takes off.
I felt relieved. I thought - she got out accidentally, I tried to get her back, she wouldn't come to me, if she never comes back, I'm finally free.
I will spare you the long and very irritating story, but I got her back in the house eventually. She's safe inside and will probably never go near the door again. I don't want her abandoned outside to a miserable existence, but boy do I wish she was anywhere but here.

In another environment, she might flourish. I'm sorry she's a trial!
Good luck.

Date: 2021-05-12 12:42 am (UTC)My movie theater is going back to daily showings on the 27th and I'm excited. Summer is usually more empty for everything except the Marvel movies, so I'll avoid those and I'm so happy to go back to the movies!

Date: 2021-05-12 12:49 am (UTC)I dunno why he does it. He's a weird little cat. Pretty much just 'my' cat no matter who was here, but he'll still bite me sometimes if I pet him and he's in a mood.
If your other cat is chill with strangers, it might just be the thing to rehome her and adopt a new kitty. Sometimes it's best. But I get why you'd be reluctant.
I would go see a movie if there was a single, solitary thing playing that I wanted to see. I dunno if it's just the times or my theater in specific - showing NOTHING interesting.

--You're not a monster! A long aside but we all have/had those animals. You get what you get with pets which is something that has always made me wary of kids. What if you don't like the one you got? I am 100% getting a grown up dog next time though. I hope you and 13... coexist.

Date: 2021-05-12 12:47 am (UTC)I've never really had an animal I didn't just feel gushing amounts of love for - like sacrifice myself for them feelings. But 13, it's just responsibility. I picked her out of the shelter and now I have her. It's been a weird few years. I will never ever get a puppy again. OMG the amount of work and you're totes right - guessing about what'll happen with their temperament. A kitten though . . . :D
