I got a fantastic fic for smut4smut and I love it so much. I'd kinda given up on anyone writing this pairing for me, but author gets the characters so well. Yeah, there's some sex in there but it's the way they got it, and how they might get it again that makes is so awesome. Love!

On the Significance of Harley Quinn's Split Lip in Birds of Prey

I love this movie, and there's a lot in there to compare and contrast with other media. That's a great essay on Birds of Prey. I absolutely loved that film, and can't wait for it to come out on DVD or digitally. It makes me happy whenever I see someone engage with it seriously, when too often I just see the two lazy hostile positions on it from opposite directions - either it's people (who usually haven't seen it) dismissing it as just another fanservice female-fronted action movie with a scantily-clad Manic Pixie Dream Ninja for fanboys to get excited about, or it's actual sexist fanboys complaining that it didn't have enough fanservice and Robbie wasn't scantily-clad or sexily-posed enough.

Yeah, icons are always snaggable! If you had any particular other screencap you wanted me to try, I'd be more than happy to. I just had a hard time finding stuff, but maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

I bought it digitally last week (? what is time) so you might be able to find it somewhere. I only liked Harley in Batman the Animated Series, that episode where she's trying to go straight and everything goes wrong for her could just break your heart. Mostly everything else puts her in ridiculously offensive and ill-suited costumes for what she's doing. BUT I LOVE HER HERE, HER OUTFITS ARE GOLDEN AND THIS MOVIE IS QUALITY CONTENT. and I'll keep shouting until someone believes me. : )

Ooh, I liked that article about BoP! Very cool and yes, I think telling. I enjoyed the hell out of that movie - Harley Quinn was the only good thing in Suicide Squad, and I'm glad she got her own movie.

Right? From what I understand, it was quite the battle to get Birds of Prey made and then another battle to do it the way they wanted. I've never liked Harley before. But she's great here, I don't know if she's an anti-hero or an anti-villain but she's definitely a breath of fresh air.

I know that the actor was pretty involved in the whole thing, she had a particular vision of what she wanted to do, which was very cool. I though the character was fun in SS, but I didn't know anything about her. I'm not likely to read the comics or anything, but it's still neat to have it. :D
