feeling: nostalgic

So, I just watched the second half of SGA season 5 and my one word review is -> underwhelming.

I don't really remember, but when did they figure out that SGA was canceled? Though even for a regular season, there was disappointingly little cohesive story building, rising action, or stakes that, at least I as an audience member, cared about. I mean I was excited when they killed someone off, but then I thought they had something with the episode where Atlantis was put on trial, but then that went away without a backward glance. Not that I was too surprised as that is the M.O. for the Stargate franchise.

As I left the SGA fandom after the episode The Queen, does anyone have any fic recs? What happens next?

I also started watching SGU. I'm at episode 6 and I don't think I'll make it much further. I'm just not interested and the only strong feelings I have is that I hate Dr. Rush. A lot.
