I love horror, all kinds of horror. I am super excited for this exchange! I’m okay with gore and violence, I’m good with suffocating tension, with dark/morbid comedy horror, and while I’m not necessarily asking for it, I am totally okay with endings that aren’t happily ever after whether it’s one of those creepy nobody knows what’s about to happen or straight up they’re dead and/or live in nightmare town now. I like the broad stokes in the genre tags, but don’t feel like you can’t mix and match please, even if I didn’t pick it on purpose.
In general: sharks, aliens (including the unfriendly aspects of space), demonic deals or possession, cursed objects, the darkness and what lives inside, doubting your own senses, impossible architecture, Annihilation (both movie and book), extreme weather events (though no sharknados, pls), the thing under the bed or in the closet, overwhelming dread, losing control of your thoughts and actions.
Specific fusions I’d like to see: Krampus (I love the dark Christmas themes and twisted takes on tradition.), Pennywise (put him anywhere he’s not supposed to be, let him twist into what scares the characters most, and then shine those deadlights), The Magnus Archives (would the characters be Avatars? Of what domain? Or what domain are they stuck in? Are they a statement?), Saw (the traps are interesting and awesome gore, but I was always more interested in the psychology of why these people were picked and if they were willing to change their ways)
( Fandom thoughts will go here before signups close hopefully: Falcon and Winter Soldier, Anne of Green Gables, Dragon Age, and Bioshock Infinite. )
