I only see [livejournal.com profile] ohnotheydidnt whenever I'm surfing my friendsfriends list, but I ran across this post of Shrieking Violets: 25 Butt-kicking Babes. Who would y'all add to this list? When I was little, I was completely taken with Red Sonja (the movie). I thought she was the most awesome female hero ever.

Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most.

I really like reading when other people do this, so I thought I'd give it a go. If you haven't done it, you should! : )

1. Close Encounters of the Showering Kind Ewan/Hayden NC-17
A draft of extremely cold air around his privates was the only warning he received.

This was one of the earliest things I wrote on this journal. I wanted to write everyday for a week and this is what came out. I think the boys are cute, but it may suffer a bit for the "any two guys" syndrome. I didn't really get into the SW RPS like I have SPN or SGA.

2. Just a Thought Cameron/Daniel NC-17
While on a mission, Daniel learns that there’s more going on inside Cameron’s head then he’d ever thought.

From early 2006! Ha! My first attempt at Daniel POV, and it doesn't look like it was as hard as I remember it being. I still love the sex scene in this fic, strange though it was to write. I remember being terrified of writing Sam and Teal'c.

3. The Inconceivableness of Popcorn, Hoodies, and Milk Mustaches Cameron/Daniel NC-17
Just a team movie night; Cameron being devious, and Daniel getting horny.

Despite the wonky age thing, I really enjoyed this as a cute romp through a night off for the team. Yet another Daniel POV, and I'm really going to have to stop complaining about that I guess. Plus, I love hoodies.

4. History in the Making implied Daniel/Cameron also genish PG-13
Sometimes the legacy is the more important than the truth.

I don't remember why I felt the need to write this. It was fun, I like writing humor, obviously as if y'all couldn't tell. It was neat to write into the future and then think back to what would have happened to SG-1. I love the idea of Cam and Daniel riding off into the galaxy together. I like the kid's pov.

5. Inappropriately Wrong Mitchell/McKay NC-17
Three semi-intelligent Air Force Lieutenant Colonels in the room, and he got stuck with the one who had most recently tried to kill him.

I dunno why, but I just think these guys are so hot together. Writing their dialog is awesome fun too, becuse they can be so mean to each other. This was my first (and I think only) attempt at nonlinear structure and I still enjoy it. This is one of the few that I've actually come back to write a sequel for so I must have liked it.

5also. Highway to the Grave Sam/Dean PG-13
Sam vowed to find Dean and save him no matter what or how high the cost. Meanwhile, Dean and Lilith have a conversation

I loved researching Lilith and trying to find a voice that would fit her. This was also outside the usual fic. Dean and Lilith's dialog doesn't use tags or quotation marks, so I had to really try to make Dean sound like Dean. Sam going darkside was fun to write, if a little more poetic than my usual verse, but I made up for it with the last line.

Oh, I hadn't thought about Xena! That's weird, because both(many)of the women from that show deserve a spot on there. I've never watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. If I ever get my netflix back, I'll have to check it out.

I haven't seen Crouching Tiger either, but V is a big fan of that and many similar movies (are they still called kung-fu movies?). She's a pretty big deal in that genre, as far as I can tell. She was also in Hero (which I adored) and House of Flying Daggers, and she plays Sayuri in Memoirs of a Geisha. She sings and dances and can kick your ass (at least in her movies), all while looking ridiculously graceful and beautiful.

Heh. Is my fangirl showing yet?
