This has nothing to do with what I posted before. Will be in three parts, and only actually NC-17 at the end. Take a gander, it won't hurt you! I'll fess up, this is actually kinda old, and I might actually have posted this part on another journal, but I've gone back through it, fixed some things, and I'm going to finish it now.

Summery: Jerry found his treasure, but Tom hasn’t been so lucky yet. Tom’s travel after the credits end.

A hundred thousand dollars is much easier to go through then most people would think. After Tom had paid his debts off in Rio and Vegas, he’d had about a fourth left, twenty-five thousand dollars to do whatever he wanted with. For the first time in his rather short life, he didn’t know where to start.

So, he bought a lot of booze.

Somewhere between the fever heat of intoxication and the damp cold of the porcelain, he found himself in a dream, naked, wet and back in the cave. The next afternoon he’d woken up with a pounding headache, a mouth full of toilet paper and his pants full of jiz.

He didn’t drink to get drunk after that.

Headed to L.A. for sun, surf, and chicks, Tom hoped to get back to the way his life was supposed to be--carefree. Soon though, the buildings seemed to close in on him, and he found himself gasping for air, having panic attacks and wondering how Dan ever got over them. Nothing really satisfied him, not the women, not the recreation.

He left before his month’s rent was due.

North was pulling him, like that stupid cereal box compass, into the woods, again. The country was cooler; there was less oxygen for his brain to worry about. He stopped in a likely town and was skimming the notice board in the post office when he found an ad looking for boy’s camp sponsors for the summer.

It was better then digging ditches.

He lost himself in the rhythm for a while; new kids came in every two weeks and went out camping in shifts once a week. The other sponsors were all cookie cutter boy scouts and not amused by his stories, which was fine, he didn’t want to talk to them either. The kids were a much better audience anyway.

It wasn’t like he needed friends or anything.

One of the kids gave him a harmonica, it sat on his bedside table for a week, and then curiosity got the better of him. He played it everyday. At first, the kids made fun of how bad he sucked, but then he kept getting better, and the jokes stopped. That was when the dreams started every night.

So he jacked off more.

Near the end of the season, he received the invitation for the wedding in the mail. It had been forwarded through three different addresses and was crumpled from the camp’s tender mercies. The ink was smeared and there was something he’d probably be better off not identifying across the back.

He cried himself to sleep that night.

His concentration was shot to hell after that. He ended up in the hospital a week before camp closed with a broken arm. He and his kids had been hiking when he accidentally stirred up a bee’s nest. He had no idea how the three of them had survived jumping off so many cliffs in their treasure hunt but when he tried it this once by himself he ended up with a broken arm.

The family curse strikes again.

After paying off the doctor’s bills that the camp’s insurance wouldn’t touch, he’d was forced to sell his bike and buy a second hand truck from another post office notice just to get down to the wedding on time. It was pretty reliable, not too junky, and had much needed space. He’d somehow accumulated a lot of stuff during his stay at camp to fill the back with.

They told him he could come back again for the next season.

Yeah right.

Like it. Like it a lot. :) You're POV is just fine, so don't worry about it. But the flow of the story is pretty good. V interested in the next part. Kudos dear.
