Man, I nearly missed the tropeapalooza going around. I love tropes unabashedly I will read the shit out of so many of these world building optional. Though some world building is pretty nice.
1. Daemons - I only ever watched the Golden Compass movie, but I love the idea. I've wanted a swapped daemon au for so many ships, where outside their control their souls are swapped, bonding them together and they have to deal with it. I remember a Sam/Dean fic similar but not quite.
2. A/B/O - yeah, I like the kink, but I like the stories with pack bonding and the chance for both sides to be vulnerable. Choosing to give submission is bulletproof.
3. Soulmate Identifying Marks - is it a shortcut? Maybe, but the marks don't mean a relationship doesn't take work. The bumps are interesting.
4. Loyalty Kink - idk about this, but just the idea of unshakable friendship and someone worthy of inspiring that loyalty and forming that found family makes me happy.
5. Fake Dating/Fake Marriage Accidentally Turns Into Feelings - it's just so ridiculous and gives every excuse for bed sharing, casual touching, and verbal affection
6. Seemingly Unrequited Pining - i love a character who thinks the other character is out of their league and then finding out otherwise.
7. Supernatural Creature/Human Romance - I love the otherness about establishing a relationship and getting to know each other
8. They Break Up (but then They Get Back Together) - I love break up angst, but only if it's not manufactured. It's a fun exploration for me, but only if I know there's a happy ending.
9. Enemies to Friends to Lovers - first off, i love grouchy, asshole lonely people, especially the sassy ones. I might have a slight preference for Enemies to Lovers to Friends.
10. Polyamory - i dig open relationships and threesomes in which a and b both dig c in a sexual way but not each other.
11. Found Families - i mean people who think they're unlovable finding out otherwise and forming attachments that last . . . yes, please.
12. Hogwarts AU - especially with unexpected choices and the in character development that makes me believe it.
13. Magical Connection (Telepathy, etc) - fun, misunderstandings, magical realism, yeah, all that.
14. Vampires/Werewolves AU - I've got one on my Tony bingo, it's not something I look for, but I can see the appeal.
15. Accidentally Fell In Love With The Mission Target - depends on how long it takes to get there, but the reveal is the real hot spot.
16. Snowed-In Cabin/Isolated Together For Extended Period of Time - I mean yeah, bonus points for Only One Bed.
17. 'Groundhog Day'/Karmic Time Loop - aw man, the angst involved is my happy place.
18. Reincarnation/'25 Lives' AU - I don't know how this got so high. I can't think of one example and I'm not really interested in half original characters half my beloved character fics.
19. Fairy Tale/Mythology AU - These are hit or miss depending on the writing style. Too flowerdy and I'm out.
20. And They Were Roommates! - I'm writing one right now. I don't know, after buying my own house, and living by myself, letting someone else in would be a huge step.
21. Amnesia Fic - i thought this one should be higher. There are so many great spins on this trope.
22. Hurt/Comfort - I love me some good hurt/comfort, but only if it makes sense. Typically I'm reading about grown men, and what hurts them and how they think about it is a lot different than what would work for a teenage girl. Comfort also works differently.
23. Characters Swap Roles AU (I don't mean in the bedroom) - shrugs?
24. 'Falling For A Coworker/Teammate Is A Bad Idea' Except This Is Fiction So It Works Out - I mean it's good, but usually in combination with another trope.
25. Pride and Prejudice AU - i don't know what this is specifically? I don't think I've run across any. I'm not a fan of the original.
26. Hot Single Parent(s) - i do sometimes look for these
27. Friends to Lovers - eh
28. Body Swapping - nope, no interest.
29. Selfcest (possibly due to time travel) - back button
30. Unusually Specific Occupation AU, Like, The Author Clearly Has The Same Job - I don't have anything specific against it. if it's well written and hot, then yeah, send me a link.
31. 'Everyone is Evil'/Mirrorverse AU - occasionally
32. Adopting/Raising a Baby - not into babies
33. Royals/Political Marriage Turns Into Feelings - i mean, arranged marriage maybe, but i'm not that interested in rich people only they're getting eaten.
34. High School/University AU - young'uns are real boring to me now
35. 'They All Work In An Office' AU - only if it's the super serious crack, played straight and maybe throw in the 'only sane man' trope.
36. Coffee House AU/Food Service AU - i read these, but i don't enjoy them. They're not really the characters I love, but sometimes it's close enough.
37. Actually Unrequited Pining - no thanks i get enough of this in real life.
In related news, here is my Tony Stark bingo card and I am excited for a lot of these prompts. I originally had a Kraglin square which got changed to "I regret nothing" and I am here for it. The 'crossdressing' and 'multiple orgasms' squares really catch my eye. And i ship Bucky/Steve so hard that I'm gonna have to go for Tony/Sam, unless you wanna go for a threesome. :D
