Dear Spacer:
In General:
Likes: sarcasm, magical realism, found families, grouchy affection, first times, secret identities, daemon AU, soulmate/soulbond, crack treated seriously (ala Brooklyn 99), characters escaping abuse and realizing how awesome they are, sharing a bed, accidental bond, pretend dating,
-sex related: laughing together during sex, intimacy, touch-starved, rough sex, choosing to submit, first times, safeword use, roleplay,
Dislikes: 1st and/or 2nd person point of view, pregnancy, kidfic, everyone is unrealistically paired off in a relationship, unrelenting fluff, mundane AUs without at least a hint of magic,
MEA: Scott/Reyes
Scott Ryder - custom or default is fine. My Scott had ridiculous orange hair tanned skin, and an intense blaster scar over his eye. I like that he was dorky, and unsure, but I wish we could have seen him lose his temper a time or two. I played him as primary tech, secondary soldier invested.
Space wise: I do like the Tempest, I'd love to see Reyes there with the crew. Maybe something scourge related causes problems and Reyes has to work with the rest of the distrustful crew. I also missed any kind of interaction after SAM had to stop Scott's heart to free him from the Archon's control field. I really wanted more political machinations on the Nexus with the different species, the power struggle, and the mysterious benefactor.
I hated the Kett, not a fan of them as the villain.
What I kinda love about video game fandoms is throwing in that logic, the sidequests, the mechanics that maybe slightly bend the fourth wall without breaking it.
Voyager - Wolrd building: holosuit romance
The thing I loved about Voyager was how they were stranded so far from home with only each other and their ideas for comfort and safety. It's got to be incredibly stressful, but also so rewarding when they do manage to do go for themselves. For Janeway especially with the concerns of fraternization with her crew, I loved that she had this option and kinda took it with Michael in Fair Haven. The episode where the Doctor built his perfect family, then B'Elanna introduced reality broke my feelings hard.
I am sort of interested in the emotions, fallout, and eventual conclusions around infidelity, so that option is wide open. Any canon or original character is absolutely fine. I also love fusions if you want to transplant characters I'm familiar with from another show.
The Orville
I really enjoyed this show. I loved that it could be so optimistic about the future and excited about exploration while still being able to make weed jokes. I loved the episodes focused on Bortus/Klyden but I was kinda sad they didn't get closure to their situation. I'm usually not for kidfic, but their baby was such a big deal, and I'd be okay with it here. Or not, if you want to go back to pre baby, or AU no baby, I am more than cool with that too.
I do dig the crew as a whole, and how they gelled from misfits to a found family. If you want to just focus on Bortus his assignment or his relationship with the rest of the crew - awesome. Maybe his first time meeting a human? Or the beginning of his karaoke career. Any of the normal sci-fi/space tropes you want to apply to this show, awesome.
