Ten Inch Hero!
Very enjoyable movie, but for the love of kilts, why did everyone find the love of their life by finally accepting who they were except for poor Priestly? I guess the filmmakers were trying to say that the whole Priestly persona was just a cover-up for little Boaz who really is normal but afraid of mediocrity? Now that he's finally accepted the love of the Banana Republic and gained the love of a beautiful woman he can finally move on to be a fine, upstanding member of society?
I call BS.
I might believe it if he'd shown the tiniest hint that he was uncomfortable with his look or attitude. Just a "I was getting tired of using an entire paycheck on my hair care regime.' might have been enough to get me to go along. The tampon scene really makes me think that he's okay. Sure he actually does want a woman he can be completely intimate with, but why did he have to go against the entire rest of the movie and change everything that made Priestly Priestly?
I need fix-it fic stat! How cute would Sam Winchester/Priestly be?
Everything else was awesome. I thought the different storylines were real and compelling. I really cared at the end and wanted them all to be happy.
Jen: I have had a crush on Clea DuVall since I saw her in The Faculty. I think she is gorgeous and I would have picked her over the other two girls in a heartbeat. At the same time, I empathized with her. I don't think I'm much to look at either. I enjoyed how awesome she was through the first half as much as I did her breakdown when she ran away.
Piper: Her story was a little more of a stretch because you don't run into that sort of thing all the time. However, I thought that her actions and reasoning for what she did was very honest. The dude was hot and seemed like a sweet guy and the girl that played Julia did well.
Tish: Mostly, I liked her. I wouldn't have a problem with her being sexually promiscuous except that she was hurting herself and didn't seem to care if she hurt anyone else. She seems like a smart, tough girl, but if she wouldn't date Priestly for Priestly then I've got to ding her points. She might not have given him an ultimatum, but she never let him know for sure that she cared for him.
Trucker and Zo: They were cute! I think Trucker's past was a little forced, but that's a small flaw.
I'll definitely recommend this movie.
In fic news, Only After Disaster can we be Resurrected is up for an award for Best Sex Scene in the
j2_slash_awards. How neat is that? I'd really like to thank whoever nominated it cuz it's just astounding to me especially considering the fic it's up against.
Anyway, there's lots of tasty Jensen/Jared fic there, and I'm excited to read the ones that I missed before.

There's been a couple of people friend me lately. Howdy y'all! Feel free to introduce yourselves. : )
