I have achieved television.

So, I bought bunny ears for my tv and now get a handful of channels. I now enjoy fuzzy, often black and white, picture with only slightly intermittent sound. If I'm not careful, I'll end up watching too much OETA and actually learn stuff. I watched a tour of the OK capitol building and found out the we had the first woman elected to state office from even before women were given the right to vote.
Kate Barnard, in 1907, became the first woman to win statewide elective office in the United States. She held the office of Commissioner of Charities and Corrections for 2 terms. She was a key figure in the enactment of a compulsory education law with provision for state payments to widows dependant on their Children's earnings, of legislation implementing the constitutional ban on child labor, of laws aimed at unsafe working conditions and the "blacklisting" of union men.
If only we women had more elected representation, maybe insanity like this "The Bush administration officially proposes conscience rule for doctors/janitors/volunteers/crazy people." wouldn't happen. More info here at
naamah_darling including an email to send scathing replies.
sheafrotherdon also has some comments and links.
"Women's ability to manage their own health care is at risk of being compromised by politics and ideology," Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said in a statement.
Also, once more I find myself cracking open my Bible for fandom related projects.
