Full disclosure: I was raised democratic and quite liberal. I actually dislike the democratic party and if my state actually had parties other than democratic and republican, I wouldn't be a registered Democrat. I don't love Obama, and I have numerous problems with McCain.
I find that the people who are in the young dems and young republicans are among the worst b/c they are part of the cult thing that has taken over politics in America.
And with regards to your second point, if someone defriends you b/c you're going to wait and see what SG:Universe is, then they are just silly. I don't know if I'll see it and I know I'm not going to give money to amireal, b/c I don't think it will work, but I'm also not going to stress about it.
