Thus follows my ramblings while I watched 1.01.




Okay, babies are uber creepy. Am I the only one that thinks so? And baby radios, they are the method by which the little minions wreak their havoc. Oh gosh! Daddy!John is downstairs! My stomach totally just flipped flopped, this is great storytelling/filming here.

All right, I’ve only seen the first minute and a half, and I’m already apologizing for every bad thing I ever thought about y’all when you were flooding my f-list with all your SPN crap. So, I'm sorry.

Okay, Sam’s kinda cute here. His hair must be different from what I’ve seen in the second season, because he did nothing for me there. (Girl butt!) Ah, Dean, be still my beating heart – the horndog. Geeze. And Jess? She’s pretty hot. Wish she coulda been a regular. She looks familiar. And that little mole thing – I did it.

Seriously. I hate myself for taking so long to watch this show.

Is this the infamous badge!Sam and Dean? I think so… Federal Marshals? Ha! Dean apparently has a small problem with authority. They are such cute brothers, and sometimes they talk in synch which, well, I don’t know how many times I can call them adorable before I start sounding like a broken record.

Dean’s kinda obnoxious, raining on “Sammy’s” parade. I think I would hate dealing with him in real life, but wow is it fun watching these two boys try to deal with their pain together.

That’s karma, poor dirty, smelly, wet Dean. He deserves it.

So this mythology that’s attached to this show, and this episode in particular is just astounding. If every episode is so well constructed and thought out, then this series is definitely above and beyond most of the mindless drivel on tv.

Sam’s got a very long neck. He just looks so … I dunno. Earnest and okay – little brotherish.

Oh, the car! Through the house! Dean’s gonna be pissed.

Didn’t see that coming. Again with the creepy kids. Oh my, that was some awesome special effects! I’m so having nightmares tonight. Wow!

I don’t understand why Dean’s pushing to make Sam go with him now if for two years he’d left him alone and never asked for anything. I wonder what changed.

Don’t tell me something happened to Jess. I liked her. I only knew her for about two minutes, but I liked her! Bad! Baaaaaaaaaaaaad! And now I know why Sam goes crazy looking for revenge.

Okay, really I kinda loved this. I don’t think that I ever really want to get involved with Wincest (sp?), but I do really love the realism in the interplay between the brothers. They remind me of people I know, normal people if rather gorgeous. Except for Sam’s weird nose thing.

I miss S1 Sam!hair. I don't know what they did in S2, but I want it back, damnit. It made Jared unbearably sexy. NOT THAT HE ISN'T ANYWAYS, BUT STILL.

Most of the episodes with a bigbad are pretty well constructed. They do a lot of research.

No. That isn't the infamous badge scene. That's in Phantom Traveler, I believe. Might have to rewatch that episode to be sure.

As the series goes on, we definitely get an even better sense of just how devoted Dean is towards his family and how he seems to need them by him all the time. So I think Dean has been wanting Sam with them still in the time they've been separated but because of Dean's loyalty towards their dad, he didn't push it. However, I think with their dad going missing, Dean needed his brother emotionally and now he had an excuse to give to Sam when getting him as well as not having to worry about his dad getting pissy about it (since John had kicked Sam out after he decided to go to college).
