what I learned in my October posting spree
Nov. 1st, 2019 02:34 pmMostly that it's fun. Some days were lame, omg I have nothing to say, I haven't seen anything cool, what am I gonna do - TROMBONE JOKES. Everyone loves trombone jokes, right. In fact, not everyone loves trombone jokes. : )
But it was easier to come up with something when the goal was to post everyday rather than the goal of making the most epic post that everyone will love and interact with. I originally thought I'd get to do more with Supernatural coming back, but after that first episode it was a matter of if you can't say anything nice, better to not say anything at all. I probably should have done more icon/graphicy things. Oh well. I missed 4/31 days, and that's way better than I expected.
I think sometimes I've been silent for so long here that pressure gets me to have something important to say instead of la, la, la that's a pretty flower. But even flower posts are an adequate reaction to life. I've enjoyed my tagging adventure to go through this journal from the beginning and obviously I went through phases of "I am fandom!" and others of, this is my life, it's little but it's mine and I want to remember it.
Anywho, goal for November is posting 15/30 days because my to-do list will have things:
Tattoo: on Tuesday!
Nanowrimo: 50,000 words 30,000 of which should be spent on my original thing and the rest on my bingos. (feel free to steal the icon, I just took it from the main site and played with the colors a little)
Craftster: 2 swaps: Color in a Box and Cozy Toes for Xmas
Thanksgiving: first time venturing home since the 2016 election, but I can't put it off anymore. and there's still that little niggle in the back of my mind that says this crapfest might last another four years, so if I wait until after next year's election I might never go back.
