I mean, I *love* a good aliens movie. My jam! But these were stupid. A, what, 13 year old kid figured out how to kill them (when apparently bullets also do that), but the entire world and/or every military mind on the planet COULD NOT? When they realized they used hearing for locating stuff, there are SO MANY OPTIONS that even the cops could deploy. Just ridiculous.
And who, in a hostile environment, puts the smallest kid AT THE BACK of a line of people who are supposed to move all quiet and stealthy? Just ridiculous. And that nail!! You see a nail like that suddenly pop up (nails don't do that), you immediately bend it down or something, you don't leave it sticking up like that for even one minute. AND AND AND....
I could go on, but I won't, heh. The dad was excruciatingly boring and cliche, yes. I can see why survivalist man-bros loved him.
