it feels like cheating

being home and awake on a Saturday morning knowing that I don't have to go to work tonight. I don't remember the last time this happened, though it will also be the last for a while as my University is having a COVID party cleverly disguised as a football game next week and I'll be working then. This is all a mess.
Last weekend finished the celebration of my birthmonth and after everyone passed the 'have you been quarantining well?' test we decided to risk a get together for home made nachos (they were so good), the game Ticket To Ride (won one, lost one, got real drunk), and a VOD showing of Bill and Ted: Face the Music (...).

Let me just say in all capital letters: I LOVE THE FIRST TWO BILL AND TEDS AND I ALSO REALLY ENJOYED WATCHING FACE THE MUSIC.
But I also must say it was not a good movie. :D Metacritic has it at a 66 right now which is the best of the trilogy (50 and 60) with a user score of 6.5. I'm confused about the critics scoring it so high, but the user score is about what I figured. Bill and Ted are still delightful, Ted will rip your heart out, Death is lovable diva, Kristen Schaal was fantastic as Rufus' daughter, and the plot is enough to hold everything together.
The production value leaves a lot to be desired, that CGI is an eyesore, and unfortunately I could not warm up to the daughters: Billie and Thea. They are super sweet idiots who are trying to help, but I just want to shake them and tell them to grow up. I probably wouldn't have liked Bill and Ted if I were just now watching them either. They were delightful to kid!me and their honest wish for people to "Be Excellent To Each Other" has stayed with me since, but wow are they dumb.
It was really odd to see Keanu's clean shaven face after so long.
I laughed, I awwwed, I went bzhuh? at the ending. It was a quality night with the buds. I will probably never watch this movie again.
Went to the dog park this morning. Pepper, the little dog, had a great time running with the big dogs and everyone laughed and encouraged her. She mostly behaved. It was very warm. I'm super looking forward to this cool down on Tuesday. It will be sleep with the window open time.
