Masculinity and Hawaii 5-0 op-ed, but I thought she hit several good points. The only reason I can deal with all the ridiculously over the top action and violence is that Danny too is often going "Really?". As far as Steve/Danny goes, in this case I'm easy and could go either way. Platonic is just as meaningful to me as if they did become a couple. Unlike, say Dean/Cas from supernatural, Steve and Danny are much more complete characters and their trauma is totally different. BFFs would be a happily ever after for them. Similarly, I like the new series The Rookie because an older Nathan Fillion is a breath of fresh air next to a lot of the examples were given of toxic masculinity in the police force.
In Oscar Isaac news:
Triple Frontier Shows Netflix Using the Narcos Template to Shine a Light on Veterans’ Issues I'd like to see this movie actually start a conversation about veterans' issues, but it looks a little heavy on the pew-pew-pew kill-all-Mexicans front.
Oscar Isaac looks real good though, and apparently he's taking a year off after Star Wars, so less stuff in the near future from him.
Spider-Man post credits scene featuring Oscar Isaac
Basically, I'm super excited for this movie, and make sure you sit through the credits for the extra scene.
