Sheppard/Mitchell recs from sg_flyboys

There has been a lot of awesome stuff posted over at sg_flyboys! I haven't managed to read it all yet, but here is some stuff that I liked:



evesharmony wrote my prompt of "switched roles" and wrote a brilliant fic titled I Can Turn You On With My Brain. John gets tossed into an alternate universe where Cameron is leading Atlantis and a much straighter laced John got SG-1. Then there's really hot sex and awesome banter.

John’s beginning to wonder if this isn’t a parallel galaxy so much as a perpendicular one, it’s so different.



miss_porcupine wrote the prompt "Military realism, History before Atlantis" into an awesome fic titled That Summer on Tattooine. John's only in this fic for a little bit, but it is an amazing cameo that's shaded and fun. Cam's in Saudia Arabia and there is a tool shortage on base, that's how he ends up guarding the tent all night wearing goggles.

Cam wasn't sure if it was more funny or pathetic -- Operation Southern Watch brought to its knees not by Saddam or the sand or the fucking camel spiders, but by the fact that there were currently ten lug wrenches in Saudi Arabia.



ltlj wrote the prompt "A long, fast drive." and took us all along in Joyride. John gets to test drive both a 302 and Cam. John is well thought out, and realistic here with both Cam and the OCs. Plus, how can you beat backseat sex in a car? You can't.

That was a little unexpected, John thought, still breathing hard. He was half-expecting Mitchell to freak out, for no other reason than John's generally lousy luck with this kind of thing, with relationships in general, from his high school crushes right up to his ex-wife. Then Mitchell grinned at him, and said, "There better be paper towels in the trunk."
