good at being bad

We've been playing Disney Villainous at work the last couple of days (it's a holiday weekend and all the kids went home) and it is so FUN! You play as one of the villains - Maleficent, Ursula, Jafar, Prince John, Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook, each of which has their own pieces, board and objectives. It's so re-playable because picking a different villain often changes your play style. The game is really pretty, the art is interesting, and the mechanics are easy to understand. Plus, it's just so fun to be bad. I played as Hook the last time, and the other two kept fucking with me until I finally yelled Just let me kill this prepubescent boy already! then I finally won and it was so satisfying.

There are two available expansion packs and another on the way. I'm going to but the one with Ratigan, Yzma, and Scar and I'm excited. Playing Yzma is apparently fun and quirky because Kronk can be turned good and cause all sorts of havoc.


I spent the last couple of days also getting overtime for athletics, so that's another eight hours + the eight I'll get for the holiday on monday. Two co-workers have turned in their notice, and I'm jealous that they're escaping. So, I want to keep applying for other jobs before the admin finally realizes they need to panic and following their previous pattern -> throw hard cash at us instead of changing the things that are making everybody miserable enough to already take a pay-cut to go somewhere else. Because it will be harder to walk away from more money, but I desperately want to do it.

Get the OT now, save the money, take the pay cut.

Dolittle is apparently so bad, but not the fun kind of bad. It has a metacritic score of 27 In comparison, Cats has a meta score of 32! Critics wonder if Downey sabotaged the movie on purpose by being terrible and this guy is asking if Downey is actually any good at acting

After reading the review mentioning the excess of fart jokes, I think I'll give it a pass.

It's so pretty and the villains have so many good/cheesy lines to suddenly yell with you play a card. "Off with their head!" was fun to yell while playing the Queen of Hearts.

I'm always curious to hear about game options. One thing that interested me is that it sounds like this game can be played with just two people since it's so individualized.

We played a couple of rounds with just two, and it is definitely still fun if not quite as chaotic. With three people and a few interruptions it took about an hour to play a round, two people cut that down. Less fate messing things up. And I love that you have so many options for which board to play.
