The good news: I am 95% sure I have a new job!
The better news: They want to bring me in at my current pay! Without night shift or life/death decisions!
The reason I've been waiting for weeks: HR is sucking sour lemons because the pay was lower on the job posting.

I've already transitioned to day shift to make the move easier, and I've got some leave to burn if it does take longer for HR to get their ducks in a row.

But not all my leave, because I'm taking four days off in May to take a trip to Philly. I'm going to eat everything, see as many museums as possible, go to two baseball games, and have myself a real good time. I hope the weather cooperates. I hope I don't see a single ICE(HOLE) agent. I hope I don't get too nervous coming back through security at the Philly airport - it won't be an issue on the way there since I'm leaving through the tiny local airport.

I might be in a weird job limbo, but I have embraced it and I live in a state where a happy dance just comes out because this might be the last time I have to do such-and-such. : )

I was so very woeful when nothing had been shaking out of the handful of first interviews I've done since the new year. The interview with this team was different from the start. Very vibes based. : )
