places to go, things to ask for
Jan. 10th, 2026 11:32 pmHere are a couple of other places I've been online:
snowflake_challenge's member's posting page -lets you see all the active people and what they're posting without clicking through the comments page to each challenge.
Glitter and Greed: The Lisa Frank Story is a four part documentary on Prime. The story is terrible, she is a terrible person. I still love those kittens, and the orca.
Arnold's Pump Club Newsletter - Yes, that Arnold, but lest you think this is only for gym bros and folks who shovel plain chicken breast and rice in their mouth all day, let me tell you, it is DEFINITELY for everyone. They consistently say they want to be a positive corner of the internet, and they are! They share research and will tell you if something is hinky due to a small sample size or inconsistent methodology.
Has it been a while since you've played Spider Solitaire?
And hey, if you're feeling generous and wanted to toss something my way:
1. A Plus upgrade for my Storygraph account. If I can keep updating through February, I might buy one myself but it's been so hard to keep the habit up in years past. I only have a goal of 12 books for 2026.
2. A tarot reading for the new year.
3. Something to get my writing juice back. It's been over a year since I managed anything more than an edit or a new sentence or two.
4. For y'all to post some wishes.

Date: 2026-01-11 03:51 pm (UTC)Good to hear the snowflake feed works! I tried it for Rec-Cember, but it would be empty most of the time, with a couple of recent posts showing up for a handful of hours here and there.
I can do a reading for you tonight when I get home to my deck :)

Date: 2026-01-11 07:43 pm (UTC)year ahead tarot spread
1 - card to represent my year ahead as a whole. Five of Wands
you may struggle with conflicting information and rapidly changing feelings that have you questioning what you believe. Trust that this will help you refine what you stand for, even if it's a little loud inside your brain for the time being. This card encourages you to seek value in conflict, to uplift underrepresented voices, and rise above the pack.
2 - an important lesson for me this upcoming year. King of Cups
To forgive is an act of compassion. This card suggests finding a healthier outlet for your frustrations and actually talking through your troubles.
3 - how can I progress on my spiritual/emotional path? Page of Cups
Getting in touch with your softest self, conjuring the sort of curiosity you had as a kid, and exploring possibilities you may not have considered.
4 - how can I stay connected to my inner truth? Two of Cups
Get to know yourself better, figure out what makes you tick, and meditate on what you want in your relationships - it'll only serve to strengthen them.
5 - what new opportunities await me this year? The Fool
The Fool marks the beginning of a new journey, stepping into the unknown. He represents possibility. This card encourages to face your fears boldly. Sure, you may run into scary things, but the rewards will be worth the risk.

Date: 2026-01-11 03:59 pm (UTC)Arnold's Pump Club Newsletter sounds good, too.

Date: 2026-01-11 06:46 pm (UTC)Arnold does a podcast too with mostly the same info, it's a lot more sporadic than when they started, but I'll use it to let his monotone voice lull me to sleep after I wake up from a nightmare. There's usually something interesting in the newsletter, but sometimes I skim the whole thing because I don't drink coffee or preworkout or whatever. Hope you enjoy it!
