I may have overestimated how clear this all is.
I went to see Moonfall yesterday and while it could have been the most ridiculous fun, instead they went for mostly serious action movie with a side of whimsy. I still enjoyed it. The special effects with the moon were just beautiful.
But mostly, I want to tell you that I accidentally showed up early enough to see a couple of the previews and one of them was the new Nic Cage movie with Pedro Pascal called The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent - so y'know, no pressure there.
In The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Nicolas Cage plays Nicolas Cage, an actor enduring a career slump, who is forced to take a million-dollar job attending a wealthy super-fan’s birthday. And Nicolas Cage has to assume the identity of several classic Nicolas Cage characters, which are all real-life Nicolas Cage characters because Nicolas Cage is playing the real Nicolas Cage. Additionally, Cage will also play Nicky, a figment of his own imagination.
ETA: I also meant to point out this sorta interactive guide to bubble tea I love the honeydew with tapioca I get at my local (not really)Thai Cafe. It kind of reminded me of the Cube rule of food identification website.

"hiding in my hoodie" hahaha. I feel like the only way to watch this movie is very comfy, with zero expectations and a lot of popcorn. :D

I'm contemplating seeing Moonfall, as i like sci-fi a lot. Is the science so unbearably bad and the 'smart scientists' unbearably stupid to move plot along, or does it do better?

I'm not a science person, so the techno babble doesn't really ever make an impression on me, so I'm not sure. They did treat Halley Berry well as a scientist who ends up taking over NASA because all the dudes are cowards. Pretty much they just handwave AI and nanotech.

And yes! That movie looks like ridiculous fun. :D

Like many films of the kind I enjoyed it more, I suspect because it was an IMax showing, and some of the effects were amazing.
