Likes: - sarcasm, magical realism, found families, grouchy affection, first times, secrets, soulmate/soulbond, crack treated seriously (like Brooklyn 99), humor, angst, (and humor/angst), sharing a bed, enforced intimacy (truth serum/spell or handcuffs/have to stay close to avoid pain/etc), pretend dating, pining, lots of dialog, relationship issues (near infidelity, actual infidelity, poor communication, getting back together but it's not easy), belligerent sexual tension, unexpected tenderness, hints of a larger world surrounding the couple (current politics/pandemic or anything else is okay)

Dislikes: Everyone calling Bucky 'James', Bucky or Sam focusing on a previous relationship with Steve Rogers, 1st/2nd person point of view, realistic or detailed pregnancy (I like when fic is focused on the emotion and the future building or somebody just happens to be pregnant while the fic is about something completely different), everyone in the group is tidily paired off in relationships, unrelenting fluff, coffee shop/academic/high school/college AUs without some sort of magical realism to change things up.


I love horror, that tension of knowing that something bad is about to happen, but not what or how. I only picked a few horror genres for each fandom, but I also love a blurring of those lines, so know that I absolutely don't mind a splash of anything I didn't pick. I also like dark comedies, so let the funny fly if you wanna.

I'm fine with current events (politics, war, pandemic, etc) or fictional examples of such making an appearance or with any shade of ending - good, bad, hopeful, hopeless, rocks fall and everyone dies, or the universe implodes. I'm okay with any of the requested character being explored as the 'bad guy' for whatever value that label is assigned.

Things I find scary: aliens, demons, sharks, the thing that stands at the end of my bed, fingers pulling the shower curtains back during a midnight bathroom trip, being the last person left, the way your brain tricks you about things you can't understand so you don't panic, the dark, something you can only see out of the corner of your eye and when it notices you noticing starts to get closer, something growing on or in a body

Anne of Green Gables - Anne

I picked this version because it's the one I grew up on, but feel free to add from the books or other shows.

Anne has such an imagination, including the darker things. Maybe she reads Beowulf for school and becomes terrified of Grendel. What if they only need belief to become real? And real monsters could slaughter the entire island. Or maybe Anne is in a facility and her only escape is Green Gables, but it starts to go wrong- small things at first until it escalates. Anne accidentally starts a cult and they awaken something old and incomprehensible?


The Falcon and the Winter Soldier - James "Bucky" Barnes & Sam Wilson

I ship it, feel free to write anything from gen to smut.

The Winter Soldier starts peeking through Bucky's eyes, but by the time Sam figures it out, it's too late. Sam has to take a corrupted form of the super soldier serum and the changes are slow but irrevocable. They both have to work together to get out of a trap or away from a monster. The government decides to round up all the superthreats.

Dragon Age - Male Adaar & Dorian Pavus

The Emprise du Lion has always been sorta spooky to me, what with the red lyrium everywhere, the wild animals, abandoned towers, and dragons. The fade is another horrorscape, what if something tagged along with them when they thought they’d escaped? There are so many possibilities for a mind whammy from the demons to blood magic. Maybe Dorian gets lost on that slippery slope and starts using blood magic. Maybe something happens to Adaar’s blood and he becomes more draconic and wild.
