on buying a used car: kind of decide what you want before you go (honda accord etc. then only look at those). be firm/mean with salespeople. choose women if possible.

and DO NOT get so overwhelmed with the entire process you just pay whatever they want just so you can get it over with. sigh. which is what i did.
